Our Firefighter Ron Thurston expresses our appreciation of Darrell Blades

In an editorial in the August 13, 2015 issue of the 100 Mile Free Press, our local firefighter Ron Thurston takes the opportunity to acknowledge how much Darrell Blades, Fire Chief of the 100 Mile House Fire-Rescue station will be missed by all the other local volunteer fire depts.  Ron goes on to say how much the WLNGLVFD has benefited form his leadership and operational skills.  Darrell and his firefighters have assisted us on many calls.  His expertise has given us training in all types of incidents from house fires to motor vehicle incidents  where extrication was required.  Ron also thanks the 100 Mile businesses for releasing the volunteer firefighters when required.  We will dearly miss Darrell Blades.
